Yin Yoga: Is unique in that you are asked to close the eyes, relax and soften the muscles, through deeper postures and experience the self within. Postures are mainly on the floor and held for 3-5 minutes, targeting the connective tissues.
Restorative Yoga: Throughout the practice, the student will use props in order to find sublime comfort within each restorative pose. Finding slow passive movement, while the instructor guides them to release tension and work on different aspects of mind/body breath connections.
Baby and Me Yoga: A class that includes gentle stretching and movement with your baby while he/she is in a buckle or fabric carrier to create a unique bond for this special time. See website for more details.
Yin/Yang: This class combines Yin yoga with a flow practice. The Yang segment allows us to integrate the openness and awareness gathered in the Yin potion into a sense of steadiness and alignment with a short, gentle vinyasa flow in our practice. This class is suitable for all levels.
Gentle/Beginner Yoga: Maybe you have never tried yoga or you are just beginning, have injuries or need to take it slow, this class is for you. We move slowly in this class yet you will feel you worked and stretch your body in a way you didn't think was possible.
Chair Yoga: If it is hard or you are unable to get on the floor, or maybe your balance is not as stable as you would like this class is for you. We use chairs to help you feel safe and supported. Making yoga accessible to all.
All Levels: This is a class suitable for all, we move through postures offering different modifications or prop options for all levels. We may incorporate a little flow into the class but even a beginner will have time to find the breath in each posture.
Yoga Basics: In this class, we will explore postures noticing how they feel within the body, where the breath moves and where does the mind focus. Although we will explore standing and seated poses there will be transitions to accommodate all levels. If you are wanting to explore the finer points of a pose or just beginning your yogic journey this is a great place to start. Meditation and mindfulness will be explored in this class.
Barre Classes: Mix elements of Pilates, dance, yoga and functional training, and the moves are choreographed to motivating music. In each energizing and targeted workout, you'll use the barre and exercise equipment such as mini-balls and small hand weights to sculpt, slim and stretch your entire body.
Yoga Flow/Strong Flow: This class is for students who feel comfortable with a flowing sequence and know the basic postures. It is an invigorating class with more opportunity to try advanced poses. Our Strong Flow practices stronger poses and the room is warmer.
Qigong: 30 Min class learning to connect with the energy around you or your Qi. In this class, we use a standing posture and move with our breath, slowly and with mindfulness, we find movement with the arms. Good for all levels.
Sculpted-Movement Fusion: This class is a mix of yoga, mat pilates, HIIT, free weights and core which will help to sculpt and tone the entire body. This class will be challenging but will offer modifications for all levels. Be prepared to get a little sweaty.
Yoga 101: In this class, we will focus on the foundations, each week will have a focus on a particular set of poses such as seated position, twists, standing, balancing, folds, and then bringing it together in a practice of sun salutation.
Ashtanga: The intention is for students to learn a set sequence of postures so they can focus on the breath during each movement. It is a meditative practice that offers an opportunity for students to gain both the spiritual and physiological benefits of yoga.
